As far as I&#039;m concerned, 2.2 is a great release even though it lacks support for the latest and greatest Java 5 features.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;One area that will need to be pretty much ported over to eRCP is the UI layer. Having a full vertical EMF &quot;stack&quot; (from model to UI) would really bring the power of model-driven architecture to eRCP, with quite a small resource footprint at that. But that&#039;s probably more suited for a separate sub-project (emf4me? :-)) rather than being part of EMF proper.</description>

		<description>As far as I know, there is no Profile 1.1 support for Java 5.0, so we can only do this for EMF 2.2.x not the new 2.3.0 stream.  I&#039;d like to make it happen for EMF 2.2.3, which will GA soon, so the pressure is on...</description>
