RAP and PDE?

RAP makes me giggle.

I completely forgot about a demo that Frank Appel from the RAP team showed me at a restaurant during the Equinox Summit. I recall talking to Frank over a beer when he showed me a PDE plug-in (org.eclipse.pde.runtime) running within RAP:

    Hi Chris,

At the ESE I showed a hacked version of the PDE feature editor in RAP (without source editor tabs). The hacks are necessary because the PDE framework makes heavy use of IDocument, which is not (yet) supported in RAP. Let’s see how far we can push the bar. I would really like to see a lot of PDE functionality run on RAP.

    Hi Chris,

just as a side-note: the pde.runtime plugin for rap is available in our sandbox to play with it.
